The only blot in my Matheran trip was Byke Resort

While they charged us 8k per night, its only the room size which was good, the services were utterly poor. No coffee / tea maker in the room, no mini fridge. Wifi connection as good as non existence. The only thing i liked about the stay was that the food was good and the disc had a decent DJ and ambience. Apart from that I am not going to recommend to anyone to stay at Byke. We were not even given dinner after the disc time was over, saying thereis no chef. If your dic ends at 12, then you shud have a chef to attend to the guests, nobody eats and then dances, its usually the other way. While I enjoyed Matheran, i did not enjoy my stay so much and found it too expensive a trip just because of my room cost.

A good location hotel

The room service was not up to the mark as expected from a premium hotel. The illumination level was terrible and the matching the switches with their lamps was a riddle to be solved. The ambience inside room requires more a lot of rework. The electric back up system was very poor. During our complete stay of two days we were in seeing lights getting ON and OFF only. For good side the kitchen and food was good and the services in kitchen were well maintained.

Too far away from centre too outdated

They gave me an outhouse of an old bungalow for 5000. No one was living there. It was a horrible experience. Shower was not working and they didn’t bothered to fix that. Too far from city centre so there is monkey menace. Breakfast and food was okay. AC was from 1857.
