Good, budget b&b in the centre of the city

Good location, a short walk to the walls and the centre. A good alternative to bland large hotels. Very good value. Pat, the owner was very helpful and offered a very good breakfast. The rooms were clean although not very big. Don't expect a big hotel chain standard and you won't be disappointed. We enjoyed our stay.

Nice little break away with amazing hospitality

Initially we were dismissive because of the area (although we were extremely tired and just drove for 10 hours from South East England all the way to Ireland!) However the owner was very welcoming extremely friendly and the room was just what we wanted. The owner went the extra mile and even took us to town in his car and then cooked breakfast for a time that suited us. There was an incident in the area and the owner come back to the bandb to make sure we were OK (he left us to it most of the time and was not intrusive at all)

Accommodations not as expected.

We reserved a room with a "private bath." When we arrived the bedroom was extremely small and crowded and the "private bath" was down the hall and open to the rest of the house. This was an unacceptable arrangement for us and not what we expected. We immediately made alternate arrangements and notified the owner within 30 minutes of our reservation time. According to the owner's refund policy, a cancellation that late will be charged a one night stay. We paid for 3. I requested a refund of the other two nights three weeks ago from the owner and haven't heard anything from him. No reply, no refund. I would not recommend this property.

Derry hospitality at its best

Arrived early and rang Pat disturbing his lunch but he still came and checked us in...he gave us a choice of rooms and the rundown of the local area. Breakfast was amazing in the morning....thoroughly recommended

Guy who Runs the place was on vacation ? So it took us 45 minutes to get checked in. The building & rooms are pretty run down & in need of a complete overhaul 😢 Good location for walled city etc. On the plus side the breakfast in the morning was GREAT & the lady (Pat's sister) was a wealthy of info. We would have missed a lot if she hadn't helped.
