"I loved being so close to the beach and town
Everything was within walking distance- including the grocery store, seafront walk, shops, restaurants. We had a balcony facing the water amazing view and sunrise. There were some plantings and grass on the grounds so it wasn't all concrete or ashphalt . There has been an effort to keep it beautiful, small, friendly and manageable. idk how long the site can stay like this but I LOVED it. So much better than a gargantuan chain hotel. Support local and simple.
The breakfast was included and was a decent spread. Staff were friendly. The Riva restaurant was good we ate a lunch there. Room was cosy."
"The hotel is lovely. Everything looks/feels new. The view from our room was awesome. Staff was friendly. The restaurant downstairs is rightly known as one of Victoria's best. And the spa is a treat."
"A great place to relax . Both the room and staff were excellent . In house restaurant was good . Far from downtown so rent a car and save a fortune in cab rides ."
"The shower curtain had some kind of stain, the baseboards had gaps the grout needed to be redone in the bathroom.
The young man at the desk used the excuse that the building was very old."
"One of the best / generous breakfast selections I have had at BW hotels
Very clean facilities & room
Quiet location, some road noise during rush hours
Easy free parking
Great pool"
"This place is truly a little gem. Their newly renovated rooms are very nice and have lovely views of the water. Walking distance to lots of really cool shops and eateries on Cowichan Bay. The staff here go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and unforgettable (we can attest to this after the owner came to our rescue at about 2am after I managed to lock us out of our room)! Highly recommend without hesitation."
"Property is slated for extensive renos apparently starting in fall. Is in disrepair and needs upgrades. Hopefully newer version will have a pool and or fitness room.. Broken windows, odor of beer, homeless people sleeping outside by cars. Needs landscaping, lighting, powerwashing, paint. Room, sheets were clean. Air-conditioner worked well but very loud. Breakfast was basic, no pastries, eggs, toast, etc. Price was ok."
