"A brand-new hotel, everything feels fresh. I was upgraded to a better room and really enjoyed the nice view. The hotel even provides earplugs, and the essential oil in the room smelled amazing — I loved the relaxing scent and atmosphere. Afternoon tea was good as well. "Rummet var stort, men kändes lite stelt. Det hade varit trevligt med lite mer inredning som t.ex fler tavlor. Dessutom upplevde jag det inte som så noggrannt städat, såg hårstrån på golvet som inte var mina. Gymmet och swimmingpoolen var helt klart det bästa! It is the little things in life that matter Yesterday, I noticed many people burning paper piles along the street. I know that this kind of paper is called Joss Paper(maybe jinzhi - 金纸) and that it is usually burnt for offering to the dead. I will ask my students and try to get a better answer later, but in any event, it is a tradition that is displayed without much pomp and circumstances and speaks to Chinese culture. Do your thing and move on...very cool.
