"My room was clean and comfortable. They could use some soft close arms on the gym and pool doors. My room was just about across from them and I heard repeated slamming of the doors. Spa was down and children took over the pool."
"Awesome hotel in a wonderful town of Rockford.. Beautiful trails for biking .. shops and restaurants were wonderful and The Rose is in the center of it all.. Almost brand new.. the hotel was beautifully done"
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Grand Rapids East, MI
10/10 Excellent
"Everything on this property that I saw appeared clean & updated with colorful/pleasing design. Lots of families with children appeared to be enjoying breakfast and the pool, yet the hotel was still quiet. 2 different front desk ladies seemed to be offended that we asked for additional blankets. Each replied, “There is one in your closet”, to which we replied, “There are 4 people in our room”. However, housekeeping was very kind when they brought more blankets.
Will definitely stay here again as it is conveniently located and the restaurant in front of the hotel was in walkable distance with amazing food."
Holiday Inn Express Grand Rapids Airport North by IHG
2/10 Terrible
"The room was damp, smelled of mold, and was so bad that we simply had to leave before we even stayed the night! We would have asked for another room, but this hotel along with all the other surrounding areas were booked. We just travelled all the way home. It was that bad!"
"We stayed at this hotel for a cheer competition because it was recommended due to its proximity to the venue. Unfortunately, the stay was just okay.
When we first checked into our room, it had clearly not been cleaned. We took photos and immediately informed the front desk. There was dirt, hair, food crumbs, stained furniture, and some of the most unpleasant bathroom grout I’ve seen in a hotel. To their credit, the staff was accommodating and moved us to another room without issue
The second room was better, but it still was not what I would consider clean. There wasn’t even that fresh, cleaned-room feeling when you walked in. I’m not sure what cleaning products are used, but it felt more like surfaces had been touched up rather than thoroughly cleaned.
The property is undergoing renovations, so I understand some areas may not be at their best right now. However, cleanliness should still be a standard regardless of construction. The pool area could definitely use a deep cleaning and refresh as well.
The complimentary breakfast was basic but available, which was appreciated. The air conditioning worked well, and ice/ water were readily available throughout our stay.
Overall, this hotel lacked the quality and experience I typically associate with a Radisson, especially for a downtown location.
The staff handled our concerns professionally, and I appreciate that. However, the condition and cleanliness of the property would prevent me from returning."
"There wasnt a pool even though the website it did have one. The room we were placed in was next to an exit door and they kept slamming the door all night. The "continetal" breakfast wasnt even continental there was only a few bagels french toast (cold) curdled milk yuckkk and a waffle maker no eggs no sausage no bacon juice and coffee where available ..but the only thing that made this bad was that damn door shutting and shaking the whole wall where our headboards were at. Horrible."
