"Long wait for check-in (as there was only 1 staff member present at the time). No other staff around at all to assist or get help with anything, for questions, or coffee, or assistance with towels. The only staff we saw was housekeeping.
The pool was COLD - not heated whatsoever. No towels, so we had to ask the front desk. We had to wait, due to no staff being present.
The hot tub was closed for maintenance. At no point were we told it was going to be closed during our stay. The pool & hot tub were major reasons why we picked this hotel, and the fact we couldn't enjoy them was unfortunate.
The room was nice, but there was no water or any access to drinking water that we could find. They provide you a very cheap coffee maker in the room, but with no water to use it.
There was no continental breakfast or discount for the Denny's or Bar One restaurants attached to the hotel. For an over $200 stay, the lack of things offered while staying at this hotel was very lacking.
We'll be going elsewhere for our next stay in Dartmouth Crossing."
"Showers should have directions for taps and handrail for older people. Heat comes on then cool air??? Hooks for towels ok but towel bars easier, I think plus shower floors slippery had to use hand-towel to avoid fsll. But otherwise everything ok."
"Inn on the lake is within an area close to amenities, quiet place, clean, spacious, the jet tubs are a great way to relax next to the bed.
Staff are accommodating and polite.
Highly recommend, will stay again. "
"Room was clean and updated. Blackout curtains, large clean bathroom, with good water pressure in shower, AC worked well, TV provided an abundance of live programming (not Roku). Beds were a bit soft for us, but that is a personal preference. about 500 metres from Costco and many restaurants and shopping options. Overall a great room for the price near downtown Halifax."
"I had to search several floors for ice buckets as the stuff lockers on 2 different floors had none. When I did find some the plastic bags were missing. Then I had to get back in the elevator as there are only ice machines on 2 specific floors. I didn’t expect getting ice could be so difficult."
