Everything a 5-Star Hotel Should Be

This hotel stay could not have been more perfect. We were in 602, which had an AMAZING view of the lake, with the private hot tub on the terrace. Probably one of the top three hotel experiences of my life. The breakfast room service in the hot tub was super fun (and the servings were varied and generous for 25 CHF), and waking up to the mountains over the lake was stunning, even with the rain. The free bus pass was helpful too, and the customer service was top notch - so friendly and so fast. Art Deco Hotel Montana is everything a five star hotel should be.

The view from our room was incredible The facilities in the penthouse room were excellent and a extra nice touch was the re-filling daily of the free mini fridge and snacks and access to the fruit bowl by lift. Staff attentive and friendly

Did not know of the lift from streets below before arriving so we walked a long way uphill with our luggage. Good exercise and all but it would have been great if we were told of the lift beforehand. The room overall wasn’t that impressive and the price was much higher for a room of that quality. Guess the price is all about the hot tub and view. (Which were fantastic and absolutely the best part of the stay). Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Loud party music till 2 am in the morning

Hotel and its service from the staffs are extra ordinary. However, still can't believe we could not sleep until 2 am in the morning because of the wedding party on the first floor and the hotel only provided the ear plug with one simple sentence "I'm sorry"when we checked out. FYI, we stayed on the Penthouse.... I don't recommend this hotel at all especially their apology was not sincere at all.

If you can get one of those penthouse rooms, get it. it's worth of the money. the room is not big but comfortable. the balcony is the best part of the stay.

A little piece of heaven

Beautiful hotel with top notch service. The views are incredible. Lucerne is my new favorite place on earth! They have two bikes you can use to explore the town. The beach club and the restaurant are both great. Service is a little slow in the restaurant, but other than that, it's phenomenal.

Absolut nicht empfehlenswert

Das Personal ist eines 5*Hauses nicht würdig. Wir haben noch nie eine so unfreundliche & unhöfliche Rezeptionistin wie Frau Andrea L.erlebt. Die Managerin war Ihr aber absolut ebenbürtig. Wir hatten ein Penthouse mit Whirlpool reserviert und darüber nachgedacht eine 2.Nacht zu bleiben. Später rief mich die Managerin an um mir ein Angebot dafür zu unterbreiten. Nach dem Desaster beim Einchecken haben wir das Angebot für die 2.Nacht aber dankend abgelehnt, haben aber nachgefragt ob es möglich sei erst eine Stunde später auszuchecken. Darauf hin kam von Ihr aber ein Nein, denn es sei alles ausgebucht. Im gleichen Atemzug hat Sie uns also das gleiche Zimmer für den nächsten Tag offeriert und uns darauf verwiesen, dass am nächsten Tag alles ausgebucht sei...Ein weiteres Problem ist, dass das Hotel von einer Mückenplage heimgesucht wird (im April!) was es unmöglich machte am Abend den Outdoor Whirlpool zu nutzen. Dem nicht genug fanden wir es auch einen unverzeihlichen Fauxpas des Houskeepings, dass bei den Kaffee Sorten unter Decaffeinato einfach normaler Kaffee einsortiert wurde, was bei nicht bemerken zu gesundheitlichen Problem führen kann. Die Vorhänge, die bei einem 5 Sterne Hotel doch wenigstens abdunkeln sollten, sind leider undurchdacht! Da es mehrere Stoffbahnen sind scheint das Licht, trotz bemühen die Stoffbahnen zu drapieren & aneinander zu reihen, immer durch. Die Rooftop Bar war, trotz schönem Wetter und ohne Vorankündigung auf der Buchungsseite, leider geschlossen.

It's just okay, the rooms are on the small size even for Jr suites. The street noise from down below will wake you up and the hallways transfer the noise from people walking in them right into your pillow. Been there twice, would not stay again. However they hv a great restaurant!

Amazing view, location and overall the hotel!

For us it was one of the best hotels we ever stayed at. View of the lake and mountains is outstanding. You can just spend all your vacation sitting at the balcony and staring. Hotel is located within walking distance of the city centre, it's just 10 minutes. You have a lift which takes you directly to the walking promenade. Highly recommended!
