"It is actually a nice property but its attitude to guests is off the mark. The check-in instructions are complicated and officious. The door entry system is weird and puts you at the mercy of your phone's battery. They don't let you control the heating and warn against using too much hot water. They would charge you for the air you breath if only they could measure it. It feels like they would be happier if no-one stayed there. Perhaps the place is managed by Basil Fawlty?"

"A little birthday weekend away with our two spaniels and what a fantastic place. This is obviously someone’s home it was perfect. It had everything. From fold up tables to eat at if you didn’t want to use the breakfast bar, to recliner chairs and sofa. The whole house was spotless and we felt welcome from the moment we received the arrival instructions from the owner. "Everything expected and more for a short break in York. Wonderfully appointed location, few minutes walking and ypu are in the heart of historic York. Serenity Inn the City matched tge description and photographs posted, excellent communication from the owner. "

"For my purposes of visiting an unwell relative, it was perfect. However, if you don’t know the area it appears a bit run down. The appartments themselves have good security with cctv. I booked through travel site and found communication was not easy. I have a feeling the owners are new to letting their appartments so hopefully teething issues. The cleanliness was ok but I again suspect that it was a rush job to prepare for our stay. The apartment location is central and a short walk to the train...
