"Very nice old charm room (standard with queen bed and mantle). Bathroom is on the small side and no vanity to hold your things. Continental breakfast available for $15 p/p. Free parking in back of hotel (which is hard to come by in city). Lots of stairs to get to our room on third floor (no elevator). Did not like that our room was also in a building (they own three buildings) separate from the reception desk, library and restaurant area."

"The AC was non existent in our room. No extra blankets for the pull out couch. The pool was on the colder side and the female sauna did not work (but the male one did). Overall not 100% satisfied. Hotel needs updated "

"Beautiful property close to everything in downtown Halifax. Our suite was large, furnished well, and clean. Will definitely stay here again when visiting Halifax."

"Lounge chair under cushion was full of chip crumbs, shower/tub did not drain (good foot bath while showering), “toilet paper” was so thin, when I used it to blow my nose, I blew THROUGH the tissue - had to use MANY MANY layers to wipe. Actually asked concierge at Marriott (waterfront) for a roll of REAL toilet paper. Not bad for 250$/night "
