Although there are no staff of duty the instructions on how to get the key were timely and detailed and we had no problems at all getting in and checking out, and we arrived late. "Lovely B&B in a beautiful village known for bookstores. Nicole and Malcolm were so kind and welcoming, we truly enjoyed our weekend there! They went above and beyond making sure we were comfortable, gave us lots of local info, and we enjoyed great conversations with them."

"We really enjoyed our short stay. Hotel sits in a large open area surrounded by a loch and golf course (although it could have been better signposted from the main road!). Room was very comfortable and spacious with a view over the golf club. Nice to have a bath and a shower. Leisure facilities were excellent. Lovely pool and jacuzzi heated to a good temperature (maybe too warm for serious swimmers!). Sauna and small gym. We had a nice dinner with good menu choice. Good was well presented and served promptly. Check-in and check-out experience could have been slightly better. At check-in we had to queue then I struggled to hear or understand the member of staff. At check-out I would have liked a bit more interaction. But minor negatives. Overall I liked the hotel and would have no hesitation about recommending. Hopefully we will return soon."

The bathroom needs some hooks or a rail for towels. It was clean. All food we had was very good. All staff were helpful, friendly & polite. We will go again but request anything but Room 1!"
