"Worst place we’ve ever stayed in New Zealand. It’s a cheap accommodation overall. In room 303, the heater didn’t work, the oven was broken, and the view was literally nothing. They provided cheap instant coffee, cheap utensils, a cheap mattress, and cheap pillows. The place is also isolated, with nothing around. I would not recommend it. We let Eddy, the manager, know about all the issues. The only “compensation” offered was a ticket to the theatre — a boring, cheap 30-minute video that they...

"Loved staying at Matuka - breakfast was wonderful, the ground were beautiful, location was convenient, and the room was so clean and comfortable. The weather was quite rainy while we stayed there and it was so nice to have a comfortable place to relax and still enjoy a nice view. "EVERYTHING! This place was such a find. I am so happy with my decision to book a lake view room. It was ground floor and overlooked the walkway, bridge and gorgeous blue/green waters. Room was huge.
