My room was large and comfortable. I had to extend my stay due to bad weather and they were very accommodating. I will definitely be back!"

"Beautifully furnished boutique hotel with very helpful staff. Rooms are well maintained and kept clean. The hotel restaurant does some great menu items so worth a visit. Breakfast buffets are fine but probably not to everyone's tastes. Location is next to the cathedral so ideal for a city stay with a difference - Funchal is a super place to visit and we hit the Xmas illumination that is world famous."

"For a long time I wanted to stay and did read many reviews the hotel is all people rave about and more ! Amazing balcony views and i did enjoy the view of the Port of Funchal it really has the best location in Funchal . The rooms are spacious with a very private balcony (6th floor) extremely comfortable beds. The service was excellent from everyone we met . "

"Very friendly welcome and was also upgraded to a superior sea view room, which was clean and well-equipped, with a kitchen. Location was perfect at the quiet end of the front and close to the cable car station to Monte. Car parking in the basement was very handy and leaving it there after checkout was no problem. Breakfast was very pleasant and we also had a drink in the Captain’s bar outside later, again excellent service and a nice ambience. Would definitely book here again if we were staying...
