"Unfortunately I would say our experience wasn’t great. The balcony door was broken and when asked to have our room switched she told us not to worry it’s safe. Being that we were on a girls trip. We didn’t feel safe at all and the balcony was on the first floor. So people can easily just walk right it. That ruined the trip it self. The space it self was clean and huge. The room, pools, beach area, restaurants and helpful staff combined for a wonderful stay. We split our time on Madeira between Funchal and Calheta which gave us two different, but equally great experiences and allowed us to more easily explore the entire island."

"Me and my wife had an extremely pleasant stay with the Editory Ocean Way. The rooms were modern and clean. The staff were accommodating, friendly willing to help at all times. The facilities are easily accessible and are always kept clean i.e. the sauna, steam room, swimming pools etc. Breakfast was great with many different varieties. The location is great only 5 mins into central Funchal. Would 100% recommend."

"Lovely location and room sea view was spectacular over the rock pools which were lovely to swim in. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful and also gave us a packed breakfast/lunch when we had to head out early on tours. The roof top pool, sauna and jacuzzi were lovely to relax in at the end of a packed day. Only downside is the infrequent public transport to Funchal so you will need to catch Bolts so end up pricey. "Wir sind zufrieden. Tatsächlich haben wir nur geschlafen und gefrühstückt im Hotel. Pool oder andere Aktivitäten haben im Hotel nicht besucht. Vom frühstück waren wir nicht so sehr begeistert, jeden Tag wurde das selbe angeboten und die Auswahl war jetzt auch nicht so groß. Wir hatten noch ein kleines Problem mit der Klima und das wurde innerhalb vom 30 min gelöst. Alle waren super freundlichen hilfreich."
