Seasonal Road Closure Notice: HWY 120 (Tioga Pass) generally closes for the winter from late October through late June. Daily closures can also occur during periods of inclement weather in spring and fall. The Eastern entrance to Yosemite National Park is located 45 minutes from Mammoth Lakes. Yosemite's Eastern Gate or Tuolumne Meadows is not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. All other Yosemite National Park entrances are open year round. Guests are advised to check local road conditions/closures before travel with the California Department of Transportation at www.dot.ca.gov or by calling 800-427-7623.

Lovely hotel and bar/restaurant. Unfortunately our airline cancelled our flight meaning we had to leave at 04:00 to make alternative flight so we missed the breakfast! Wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks.

The Austria Hof is a charming place to stay in Mammoth—old world character but with modern amenities. I stayed here for 2 days in the summer. The front desk staff were engaging and kind. Room was super comfortable. I really appreciated the filtered water dispenser next to the front desk—perfect for filling water bladders and bottles before hiking. Also, it is conveniently located right on the Mammoth Trolley stop so no need to drive into town.

Have stayed here before and love it. Large room with a fireplace. Very clean with nice amenities. Very quiet. We really like this place and will stay here again. Hopefully the restaurant will be open next time. The menu looks amazing.

Excellent location, excellent staff. Had a great time. Only complaint is that our shower /bathtub could use some maintenance. Room 101. The water continued to come out of the lower bath spicket partially, which took away from the shower head pressure. Nothing that would prevent me from having an overall great time. Would stay here again. Just an observation. Thanks for having us and will be back.

The room had a nice view of the outdoors, a balcony you share with others. The bathroom needs updating, there were a couple dead flies at the bottom of the window when you open it. Plan to eat elsewhere as they’re restaurant food prices are for the rich and famous. The free breakfast: they served cold hard boiled eggs, muffins, bread, yogurt, coffee, and fruits. Not the free breakfast I was expecting, they have a restaurant downstairs! The stairs to get into the building is metal and steep, you can easily slip, be careful, especially when you’re carrying luggage.

We love the Austria Hof Lodge! The location is great, so close to Canyon Lodge. We parked our car and didn't drive all weekend. The bar and restaurant have a nice selection. Our dinner was delicious. Our room was really clean and everything we needed for a quick get away. We'll definitely stay here again.

This property is very convenient to the mountain. We had a room on the first floor. We appreciated the "comfort" height toilet and the updated shower. The staff was excellent. There were stairs to gain entrance to the first floor and there were sturdy handrail. My hubby and I were able to navigate them. Thank you. Great stay!

We stayed in late spring. No AC. I’m pretty sure everyone else was comfortable, but for some reason, our room (105) was a kazillion degrees. Far more warm than the hallway, even. That said, the room was nice. If you’re skiing, you could not be closer to the chairlift.
