"This is an older hotel, kept in good condition and my balcony room had a partial view of the ocean. The facility’s attempt at “contactless registration” created a little confusion for me, but a staff member came when called and clarified it all. "

"Breakfast was ok. sausage should have been cooked more. Staff was nice. Housekeeping very nice. There was a virtual front desk person. I never received my final bill although he said he emailed it. Dealing with someone on a screen was not ideal. I also do not like booking hotels through Expedia because I do not believe we got the best price for the 2 day stay. "

"The property and rooms were beautiful. The room service menu was very limited especially because all the dining options were luxury. There didn't feel like there was a casual restaurant or coffee shop on site unless I missed it. I also would have expected someone to help us with our lugguge upon arrival-a true bell hop-but the arrival was just OK. It would be great if they offered a golf cart for guests who are down in the rooms by the tennis courts. Otherwise, stunning property. "

"This was really just a regular hotel room in an old fashioned building. The breakfast was what you would expect in a hotel - nothing special. The carpets are a bit old and had that old hotel smell. The rooms were not very sound proof. It would be fine if your main reason was to be in Half Moon Bay, and you aren’t looking for a particularly special or pampered experience."

"This was my first time staying here and the place is cute and very close to the shops. Upon arrival there was no one available for check in as advertised on the website and the front door. I also called the phone number on the website and the front door has posted to which no one answered. Thank goodness for a housekeeper and groundskeeper that called the owner (Sandra) to ask what is going on since several families were standing outside to check in. After 2 hours they did an over the phone...

"The room was clean and very comfortable. The location is VERY convenient to downtown Half Moon Bay - right in the middle of some stores. Great for walking to restaurants and shopping. It was very quiet while we were there but I don't know about weekend noise. There is no staff on the premises but they did response to our phone calls to resolve a few minor problems. We paid for parking which was nice for coming and going. "

"Went here for a romantic getaway and it delivered! We had an ocean view room and slept with the door open to the patio all night. We could see the views right from the bed! A wonderful way to wake up in the morning. Refreshed! We got to sleep listening to the animals and the ocean waves. It was phenomenal! We used the fireplace one night as well and loved it! They have social hour with a couple free drinks right out on the courtyard facing the ocean during sunset and that was lovely too! Beds...

"Don't stay here on a Saturday night. 8-11pm is pounding loud: like vibrating walls and they know it: otherwise there wouldn't be earplugs on the nightstand in each room."

"Sue & Michelle were both amazing, the couple housekeepers we saw were also amazing too! Breakfast was offered to be served daily to our room or to be served at the dining room, we chose our room. Surrounding areas were amazing the weather was great, only small thing was that if you’re there mid day when the temperatures get high there is no AC so it could get a bit warm, but if you just open up a window or balcony like we did and it cooled down instantly. "4/5 rating. This place is absolutely amazing! Only points taken away for is parking lot, very tight and small so if there 2 or more cars it’s hard to get out of. And then the only other point taken away is the balcony, although it is gorgeous views and vibes, anybody can just walk up it so just be cautious and lock the sliding door. The lady in the front was amazing and helpful. The room was super clean and better than the pictures!"

"The studio room was great. Very big. the only drawback was that they charged $18+tax to park. Can't really understand that. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere. I doubt people are parking there and going somewhere else. Disappointed with the charge"
