Learn more about Manley Hot Springs

Soak in the natural hot springs at Manley Roadhouse, where locals share stories while you relax in mineral-rich waters. Nearby Tanana River offers summer fishing adventures, while winter visitors can catch the Northern Lights from this remote Alaskan outpost.

This is a small section of the Trans Alaska Pipeline, which is one of the world's largest pipeline systems, over the Tanana River. Built between 1975 and 1977, the construction of the pipeline was one of the first large-scale projects to deal with problems caused by permafrost. The project attracted tens of thousands of workers to Alaska. (September 2016)
