"Hard to tell if the hotel is new or old. It’s modern but has worn furniture/fixtures in some places. We had all we needed and were comfortable in our suite."

"We had a wonderful stay at Loyd Hall Plantation and were really impressed with how the staff handled unexpected issues. The first room I originally requested showed as available, but due to heavy weather the night before, the roads had flooded and housekeeping was unable to clean it in time. The staff communicated this quickly and kindly upgraded us to the camilia Suite instead. When we arrived, we did notice the A/C in that suite wasn’t working properly. "Walked in and room smelled stale/funny. I was very hesitant on staying there but I tried to really give it a chance. Saw 2 dead roaches but what really took me out was the bathroom. Big spider in the tub with spider web and all but when I ran the water and it came out brown, that was it for me. I was in the hotel about an hour before I checked out and went to another hotel."
