"This is the most deceiving place I’ve ever been in my years of traveling experience. There was so much information missing from the description about this hotel. I trusted and that was my fault. I felt defrauded. The front picture on the website is an absolute lie. The ocean was obstructed my dry trees. There was no beach, instead there was a large rocks. There was no way access to the ocean because it was rocky beach. The hotel landscape was dry. It was windy and so there was a lot of dust. The view in the bedroom was again dry trees. There was no tv. The pool was just a small pool. I lasted about 20-30 minutes and I checked out. I lost my money..so you don’t have to. I will attach pics of the surrounding."

"The rooms and facilities are beautiful and the staff very generous with their time and very friendly. The rooms are very nicely appointed and the views stunning. We had a private monkey and sloth tour, which was really cool. The downsides are that the lodge is isolated so you are a captive audience for an absurdly expensive menu for lunch and dinner. In addition, the lobby can be up to a 10 minute walk up and down a lot of steps from your bungalow, making it a small trek every time you want to get to the lobby. It's very expensive by Nica standards overall and, while beautiful, don't expect an "authentic" experience. "

"Great secret botiquey and authentic set up adjacent to Playa Santana. The right size, the right accommodations and of great value. The staff are very friendly locals who make you feel at home. Very good food and at appealing prices as well. Easy place to play and rest. Plenty accessible surf options. Owner running a great operation. "

"This hotel was AMAZING! For anyone who has accessibility issues, I would contact the hotel in advance and ask to have a room near reception/the pool. We actually timed it once and the walk was over 4 minutes to our cabin and there were lots of stairs. We're all able bodied so it was fine but I can imagine this would be difficult for some. The restaurant food was delicious. The breakfast was a buffet and it was amazing. We had 1 dinner onsite on our last day and all the food was incredible but it's significantly more expensive than eating in San Juan Del Sur. Most days, we went into town to grab a late lunch or fried chicken or street meat for dinner later. All in all, it was incredible. The pools were super fun, my kids loved the water slide and the waterfall jump. We saw howler monkeys. Watch for the monkey poo on the deck. The staff do a good job cleaning it up but it's still there sometimes. The horseback riding from the property isn't crazy expensive, it was like $46/horse, which was very reasonable. I had already booked a private tour through someone else so we stuck with that. The room does have an inventory that you're supposed to review within 3 hours of checkin, the bowls and drapery rod were missing from our room so I reached out to them. The front desk use WhatsApp and are very responsive. Also, something to note, the power went out 3 times during our visit, only 1 time was it for over 30 minutes, the other two times were short. Just something to know. "
