"Had a lovely stay at Windsor cottage. Well presented, great amenities and the most comfortable bed in the master bedroom. Slept like a log! Ate out in local restaurants, which were lovely especially Alberto’s Italy. There are a couple of free parking areas in town 5-10 minutes away. During our stay there was a film set in place for Father Brown and a restriction at the end of the road. It didn’t take away from our stay, but was glad of the premier inn parking just a 100m away. "The staff were friendly but we were somewhat disappointed with the room. The lighting in the room was strange in that the bedroom lights were all or nothing. You could not for instance switch on a bedside light without the others coming on too. One light did not work and there seemed to be a wiring fault as it occasionally flickered for a second. Most of the time it just left a corner of the room in gloom. Staff said it was a maintenance issue so could not be fixed straight away. The bathroom layout was odd as the toilet and shower were together but the washbasin was in the entrance way to the room. A toilet brush would have been useful. The Diner and meals were good."
