When we arrived at Churchill Guest House we have been welcomed by Alex who was very kind and helpful as he gave us many tips on places to see and restaurants. Our room, Clementine, was very clean and comfortable. I do recommend staying there.

It was the first visit to Canterbury for my friend and myself . The Cathedral Lodge was so lovely. The staff were super helpful, the hotel was spotless, the breakfast was excellent. It was quite novel to be let i and out of the main gate by police but at least you felt secure. We also went on a punt trip up the river Stour. It was a beautiful sunny day and Luke , our punter, was informative and funny and very caring as i have mobility issues. We ate at several pubs and restaurants, especially...

Lovely host and beautiful place

We interacted with many staff and all were always utterly and consistently professional and lovely. The building is wonderfully historical in architecture and construction. The modern elements are subtle and executed perfectly for example some choice carpeting. The rooms feel the most contemporary but very comfortably neutral in style. The heavily sloping low ceiling and creaky floor boards keep you in the past. We found the rooms to be perfectly quiet despite the great convenience of the...

Great breakfast

The Dog was fabulous, the staff were all very friendly. Needed a drink as soon as I arrived so had a lovely glass of bubbles sitting by the fire, very civilized! The bedroom had such a sumptuous bed and very tasteful decor as had the whole pub. I would definitely return as long as the price stayed similar. Didn't eat there as they had a tasting menu but the local Indian was recommended which was fab.

The lady who helps us is very nice

Sight seeing trip together with watching cricket. Turi house ideally located for both

The room 4 dates back centuries but has been well modernised. The air con unit was a real bonus. Small bathroom space but good shower. The hotel is well placed for access to the city (15 minutes walk) . Good value for money sadly breakfast was not offered but there is a van on site and many options in the city

Great location situated close to restaurants and Dover Castle. The rooms we had were quaint and clean. It feels much more like a bedroom than a hotel room. The best part of the stay was the caretaker. He had an excellent knowledge of the local area and history and made sure we had everything we needed. He was above and beyond!

Stayed overnight on way to Holland and found everything just brilliant. The lady of the hotel was so polite, obliging and friendly. The room was certainly big, clean and comfortable for myself, husband and 10 year old granddaughter. Had a great night's sleep too on lovely cosy beds. The breakfast was fantastic and plentyful. In future we will definitely go back and stay every time we go across to visit my brother.

Clean, tidy, exceptionally comfortable bed I will be back Thanks
