The rooms were clean and quiet, spacious, the community kitchen had coffee and water and juice… Macey checked me in and showed me to my room, very professional, offered to help me with my luggage.

The building is 127 years old! However our room had all the modern amenities. Strong, clean shower, nice sized bathroom. Comfortable bed. Breakfast in a common room is coffee, cereal, oatmeal or pop tarts. The only negative is the steep staircase up to the room. Just beware.

Overall good place to stay. For some reason we were not able to adjust the thermostat in the room. Not sure if it was locked or if we just couldn’t figure it out. Also, some of the other guest staying were very inconsiderate of everyone else there. Very loud, running up and down the hall around midnight.

Loved everything about the Hackett! Stayed in the Riley Suite and it was gorgeous! Had everything my sister and i needed for a perfect getaway and great location. Ate at the Galley twice and awesome food and service.

This place is cooler than cool. It's extremely well maintained. Historical through and through. The rooms are larger than a typical hotel, with extremely high ceilings. A common area with snacks and refreshments just for the very limited # of rooms/guests. The restaurant and bar downstairs is great. And... despite being above the bar and restaurant (which close at a reasonable hour btw), I did not have ANY issues with noise. Lastly, the staff was 10:10 with checking in / assistance / checking out.

I enjoyed my stay. I chose the Hackett because it was close to Marietta College, where I needed to be for the Division II high school District track meet. It was a working stay-over, as I live over 100 miles from Marietta and did not want to drive back and still be up half the night to file my report and process pictures from the meet. I would stay there again, if I need to overnight in Marietta. Sam was good and helpful, showing me to my room. Thank you.

On a motorcycle trip in southeastern Ohio Thursday night and looking for a place to stay near Marietta. Pulled this place up on Expedia and it looked like a winner. This place was very nice, better than I expected, whoever remodeled this place did a fabulous job. Very nice restaurant and bar downstairs, I hope to come back here again. Highly recommended.

Marietta's best

Always a wonderful stay. A wonderful boutique hotel. Room access can be a challenge for those not in shape ( you need to walk up 2 flights of stairs to get to the rooms) but it is well worth it. Rooms are spacious yet cozy. There's a common area that is simply wonderful. Any time our travels take us near Marietta, we make it a point to stay at this wonderful place.

Really nice historic property. Perfect for our weekend getaway. Rooms are on the third floor accessible only by stairs so not the right venue for anyone with mobility challenges. We would definitely stay again.

Galley is an amazing restaurant on the property. They can do alot to accommodate food allergies, especially gluten, nuts and dairy. Wonderful property and surrounding shops.

Superb Hotel for the experienced traveller

Superb hotel experience in a vintage Marietta, OH building. Well taken care of by owners and staff. Having the Galley restaurant downstairs is super convenient. Not the best prescription for folks with bad knees as the stairs up can be daunting. But superior quality and experience for the true Traveller.
