"We stayed at this location for 8 days in a superior room and enjoyed almost every single moment of it. We would rate the location 10/10. The view is breathtaking! The room design and layout are very well done although the rooms themselves are tired and some things don’t work anymore i.e the lighting in the pool and over the mirror in the bathroom, the waterfall in the pool and the hot tub was dry. Expect hot water only on sunny days. We are all for green energy but no hot water for dishes or...

"Very brief one night stay arriving late by plane and departing early by ferry. Good location. short ride from airport and walk to ferry to Moorea. Helpful staff. Room was fine."

"Great location close to cruise port and ferry port! Wish it had a pool and washcloths in the bathroom at least. Nice size rooms. Expensive restaurant and bar but similar to others in the area. "

"The staff is super friendly and helpful. Rooms are all upstairs with no elevator. This was a perfect stay for a night between islands. We slept comfy with Air conditioning. We had a small breakfast included with toasts, cheeses, butter, jams, and juice. It was also located in the heart of Papeete so you can walk to the brewery, food trucks, or the market at any time. Would highly recommend this place for anyone on a budget or anyone in between islands for a night or two. "

"I really wanted to give this place high reviews, but unfortunately the great pluses this property has (amazing location right on the water and views) are negated by an overzelous and controling owner. Prepared to be scolded, warned and admonished for many things a paying costumer would not in other stablishments. I.e. do not take the kayak out in the beautiful bay because it could be damaged by the coral..are u serious? Why have a kayak on the property if it cant be used. Or, dont leave the AC...

"Overall, I thought it was nice and comfortable. Google maps originally took me to the wrong place, but we got it sorted out. They seem to have a fair number of animals - besides a couple of dogs and a cat, I definitely heard a rooster as well. So it could be a little disruptive overnight when you're trying to sleep if you're not used to that sort of thing."

"The resort was above and beyond our expectations. The breakfast buffet was outstanding - especially the fresh pastries and the omelette bar manned by Heinz. The snorkeling right off shore was fabulous. If we ever are able to return to Moorea, we will definitely stay at the Sofitel Kia Ora again!"

"Great place to stay in town. Center of everything and I’m front of the ferries. Stayed there twice during my time in Papeete. Got the cabin bunk for a solo traveler no complaints communal showers outside that separates men and woman. Easy place for easy travelers. "
