"It's in a secluded area and very quiet. The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was nice. There were a few cosmetic issues in the bathroom but it was clean and comfortable. The young lady that checked us in was very cheerful and helpful. If your in the area i would recommend. "

"Lovely property. There's a beautiful courtyard that is surrounded by all the room doors. Spacious balconies for each floor surround the building. The surrounding area is that of a downtown that has fallen into ruin. Lots of empty builds. Not pleasing to look at, but the hotel is a beauty despite a downtown that is long gone I paid a few dollars extra to have a room on the river side. "I had to attend my father's funeral so I reserved a room at Hampton as well as Holiday Inn in Selma, Alabama but chose to stay with Hampton because of the indoor pool and the price was a little cheaper. Over all my stay was amazingly comfortable and the staff was pleasantly nice. I gave the score of a 4 because there was a few hiccups such as the staff turned the water off to my room with no warning, however the manager explained to me what was going on and compensated me."
