Charmant petit riad, au coeur de la médina

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans ce petit riad. Mustafa y a contribué par sa gentillesse et sa disponibilité. La chambre est confortable, ainsi que la literie. Les sanitaires sont un peu vieux, on a eu quelques petits problèmes mais Mustafa y a remédié. La terrasse est très agréable, la piscine est plutôt une grande baignoire. Ce riad est très bien placé, à 20 minutes de la place Jemaa et Fna. C'est vraiment dépaysant, et nous le conseillons fortement, plutôt qu'un hôtel. Le petit déjeuner est très copieux, mais servi un peu tard à notre goût (à partir de 8h30)

The hotel is a traditional house in Medina , with very good position, you can reach all the tourist attractions on foot, and the railway station is only 2 kilometers away. It has a small yard, comfortable and well decorated,. The staff are very nice and helpful and the breakfasts are delicious. The only dissatisfaction was that our room is a little bit small, and the facilities are simple and old. If the owner can improve the facilities of the rooms, it will be a perfect hotel to stay in Marrakech.

料金を感じさせないような圧倒的なパフォーマンスの高さが気に入りました。 日本で同じようなサービスのホテルを予約しようとすると、2倍、3倍はかかるのではないかと思えるほど安かったです。リヤド内もお金持ちの家というのが分かる雰囲気でリヤドが初めてだった私にとって、貴重な体験になりました。接客をしてくれた方も非常に丁寧で、チェックインの際に紅茶を出して貰ったことは今でも覚えています。一人旅ということで緊張していたのですが、それが丁寧な接客のおかげでほぐれたような気がしました。二泊し、二泊目は夕食もこちらでいただいたのですが、おいしいタジン鍋を頂けて満足です。朝食も、もちろんおいしかったです。ただ気になる点を挙げるとすれば、マラケシュ駅から徒歩で観光客がこのリヤドに向かうのは不可能に近く、駅周辺にいるタクシーを使わなければいけない点と、リヤド内で2泊3日のメルスーガへ行く砂漠ツアーに予約したのですが、それが相場と比べて少々割高である点(1000DH)、また砂漠ツアーから帰ってくる日にもう一度宿泊したいと言ったところ、こちらのサイトで予約した時と比べ、2倍近い金額を請求された点です。それらを考慮しても、コストパフォーマンスは高く、ぜひ観光客の人にお勧めしたいリヤドであることに変わりはありません。

Comfy and great location

Is impossible not get lost the first day to find the Riad BUT is part of the charming Medina. Yassin, the owner, is always there for you to guide to get a great experience of the city and help you for everything you need. The location is exceptional!! Not far from jemaa el fna and not far from gueliz.. you can make all city walking cos its in the middle of every place, during the day the neighbourhood it's a busy but nicely souk.. at the night convert in a quiet zone, it's safe walk through so no worries about that. The Riad have so lovely rooms, spacious and unique with decorations, a great breakfast and smile included every day. If you need to relax after a crazy day, the terrace is perfect. Why i choose this Riad first place? Well.. the location, the architectural details who transport me to other time and the service who gives. Why i could choose again this Riad? The location is excellent, the great environment you breed when you are in there, I repeat... The big smile every day, the good advice and the facilities. I have to be clear about this.. it's my experience and obviously not everyone could agree and that's OK. I loved it.

Surfacturation, mal indiqué, pas top au global

Hotel mal indiqué, l'adresse indiquée ne permet pas de s'y rendre par soi même sans l'aide des locaux. Veillez à ne pas arriver en pleine nuit, le quartier n'est pas très bien fréquenté. Surfacturation de 15€ au moment de payer sans justification, soit 10% du prix de ma réservation tout de même. Le Riad est mieux en photo qu'en vrai, pas luxueux, mais décorée "typique".

hat sich verschlechtert seit 2015!

war 2015 auch dort und nun ist viel vergammelt, der Patron kümmert sich nicht ( neu seit 2015) keine Seife, kein Duschgel mehr auf dem Zimmer. Das Schlimmste waren viele, kleine Schwarze Käfer im Bett! Es fiel mir auf, da es morgens lauter schwarze Punkte auf Kissen und dem Laken gab, das waren die Reste der von mir im Schlaf zerquetschten Käfer oder Milben oder Läuse, keine Ahnung. Es wurde aber sofort reagiert und der Raum komplett desinfiziert, das war okay, Riads sind alt und das Hausmädchen muss sensibler auf solche Flecken und Anzeichen agieren. Schade, es könnte ein tolles, kleines Riad sein, doch es fehlt die Sorgfalt und Liebe für etwas Service, so kann man einem Gast nicht vermitteln, sich wohl zu fühlen. Der Inhaber ( kan dann persönlich) hat mir erzählt, er hat noch 5 weitere Riads in Marrakech, vielleicht sind diese besser in Schuss.

Lo recomiendo por el servicio y las instalaciones. La única pega es que está escondido. Se tardan unos 10 minutos a la plaza Jamaa el Fna.

Séjour très moyen

La piscine est inexistante puisque c'est un bassin à l'entrée, dans la réception. La terrasse, mal entretenue, mais calme, sent l'urine de chat et est en permanence sale. Personne ne vient vider l'unique cendrier et les verres, ou autres ne sont jamais dé-servi avant le lendemain. Prenez votre taxi par vous même, l'aéroport est à 15 mn du Riad, 150.- dirham pour ce trajet ça fait cher la commission pour le gérant..... Le jeune gérant, très sympathique somme toute, oublie de commander le taxi pour l'arrivée, oublie de commander le taxi pour le départ..... passe sa journée à faire la sieste. Si vous souhaitez un petit déjeuné avant 9 heure du matin, oubliez.....il dort. Oubliez aussi le café, il est imbuvable. Les portes des chambres ne peuvent être fermées à clé. Le safe pour vos bijoux ou autre, est non fixé et très léger, autant dire inutile. Toutes les portes grincent, autant dire que vous savez quand vos voisins partent et rentrent....

Lovely short break

Riad Picolina was just what we wanted for our short break in Marrakesh. It was within the Medina and only a short walk from most of the main sites in the city such as Place Jemaa el-Fna and the Souks. Youssef was a fantastic host, so welcoming and always about to help or chat. The room was lovely and was always made up nicely when we returned from a day out exploring. Breakfast was included too which was a bonus! We would definitely return to Riad Picolina in the future, great value for money, friendly environment and wonderful staff :)

Très bon séjour, dans ce riad, niveau propreté et accueil, c'était impeccable, Riad très bien situé .. Au niveau confort de la chambre des petites choses à améliorer, pas de penderie dans la chambre ou je me trouvais, j'ai dû accrocher mes vêtements à la tringle du rideau qui sépare la chambre de la salle de bain.. Pour le petit déjeuner, il était bien, mais peut-être mettre des fruits et un vrai jus d'orange pressée, car je pense que celui que nous avons eu était en bouteille.. Sinon, la gentillesse de Radidja et de Mounaim font oublier ces petits détails...

Super séjour au Riad Picolina, exelent accueil. Mounaim, toujours disponible et prévenant. Très bonne cuisine de Kadija. Riad de très bonne qualité à 10 mn à pied de la place Jemma el Fnaa, dans un quartier calme. Exelent rapport qualité prix.

Ligging centraal en kamer goed voor een kort verblijf van 5 dagen. Personeel zeer vriendelijk. Ontbijt kon er mee door,was niet uitgebreid of bijzonder lekker. Enige minpunt was, dat er volgens de boekingssite transfer van en naar het vliegveld bij inbegrepen was, echter hebben we dit zelf moeten betalen. Het was ook niet mogelijk om je dit van tevoren te laten bevestigen, want er was geen mailadres. ik had een sms gestuurd waarop ik geen antwoord kreeg en toen ik belde zeiden ze aan de andere kant dat ze me niet verstonden vanwege een slechte verbinding en legden de hoorn op. Maar al met al was het toch een geslaagd verblijf.

Petit mais agréable riad. Petit déjeuner très copieux, personnel aimable et accueillant. L'absence de télé est apaisant. Seul bémol : beaucoup de bruit le soir , absence d'intimité car on entend le moindre bruit ( éternuements, chasse d'eau tirée, ... !!!) .

Lovely Riad in the Old Town

We had a wonderful 5 day stay at Riad Picolina last month. The hotel staff, Mounem and Yousef, were so friendly and helpful and assisted us with booking tours and taxis. Mounem welcomed us the first evening with mint tea and gave us great suggestions of things to do and places to see in the city. The Riad itself is a calm, relaxing place to return to after a busy day out in the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. Breakfast is served after 9am, so it's nice if you like to sleep in and take your time in the mornings. Our best meal of our visit to Marrakech was a delicious tagine prepared by the chef at Riad Picolina so we would highly recommend arranging to have at least one meal here. The only downside was that the walls of the riad are quite thin so from our upstairs room we could hear other guests' voices when they'd return in the evenings.

Was expecting a hotel, discovered that a Riad is something more like a guest house. It's down a long alley, Derb something. Very difficult to find. Ask them to meet you at the airport. Dont ask kids the way because once they get you there they demand lots of money. Ask an adult, less likely to rip you off. Agree a price first. Once discovered, this place is a gem. In the heart f the Medina city. A traditional town house, only 5 bedrooms, take your meals on the rooftop terrace. excellent, traditional food. Enjoy Marrakesh !

City Break

This is a very very basic riad and I think people need to be prepared for that, also the street in which the Riad is located had sewage in it and it is not particularly friendly for walking through. The staff were nice.
