Suite was not available at 4pm despite our arrival at 11am. Service was not great for the 5 stars and expectations. Hotel is nice , prestige suites are nice … pool , terrace, … convenient and cosy Very convenient location in Marrakech

Sofitel is third hotel I stayed at in Marrakech. I was at Amanjena and then Es Saadi before moving to Sofitel and let me just say that was where I felt the least welcome. The staff that attended to me when I checked in was unfriendly and seemed irritated when I asked her when my room would be ready because I needed to meet up with a friend. The next morning, loud drilling noise woke me up, I couldn’t sleep and I couldn’t join my work call, other places would have informed guests that there’ll be loud noise so it doesn’t ruin my stay. On my last day, I told them at the reception that I was a solo traveler, it’s my last day in Marrakesh and I’d love to take some pictures before I left and would be grateful if someone could help. The man at the reception said he can’t help me, “as you can see we are working”, I asked another staff I saw in the lobby and he blatantly said no. Sofitel is the first place I didn’t feel any hospitality, it is important I state that every other place I went and other people were so kind, taxi drivers, staff in the other hotels I stayed. I only experienced a bad treatment at Sofitel. I do not want to believe they are racist there because they seemed friendly to other people but to me, they were cold. I do not recommend especially if you are black. I hope this review will spark some improvement but I definitely won’t be staying there on my next visit.

A truly fabulous hotel right in the heart of Marrakech. The rooms are lovely. The pools and gardens are huge. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. It is situated in a lovely area just walking distance from the old town and the market. I would definitely recommend it.

Nice place. Great pool and room service. Terrible at responding to email communication. Sent email 5 days ago still no response and I just checked out. Haha. Also be careful about what they enter for property amenities. I have screen shot showing free airport transfer. But it’s not free. Listing has since been changed. Taxis at gate. Nice restaurant 2 blocks away. Would recommend. But likely I’d try a different place just to see

Le sofitel est un hôtel exceptionnel à tous les niveaux que ce soit sur la qualité de service, la piscine, le petit déjeuner ainsi que le décor. C'est du très très haut niveau. Les piscines sont magnifiques, le petit-déjeuner est très copieux avec des produits de qualité. Le personnel est au peits soins des résidents. La qualité de service proposé par le personnel de l'hôtel est clairement irréprochable. A refaire sans hésiter. Merci à tout le personnel de l'hôtel. Un grand merci pour votre accueil.
