We had an awesome time in Marsa Alam, there are great day trips and beautiful beaches you can visit. The host Ibrahim is very friendly and helped us out with everything, even after we left the place he helped us with my missing luggage. We felt very much at home :)

Can just recommend the rayhana guest house. The owner is very friendly and willing to help all the time. I really enjoyed my stay there and would come anytime again. But I have to say that the beach close to the hostel is not really nice, so you have to go to nicer beaches by car most of the time. Only manko. The staff was also very nice and the rooms were clean and alright.

Keine Lust auf Resorts? ==> Rihana Guesthouse!

Kleines Guesthouse mit einem grossartigen Host. Und 2 verspielten Katzen. :) Volle Punktzahl. Frühstück mehr als ausreichend. Einkauf und Verpflegungsmöglichkeiten in 15 Gehminuten errreichbar. 100% empfehlenswert.

Nettes Hostel mit unglaublich netter Betreuung. Auch ohne vorheriger Planung lässt sich mit Hilfe des Hosteleigentümers ein toller (Tauch-)urlaub organisieren. Einige Tauchschulen in der Nähe. Zum Stadtkern wenige Gehminuten. Mehrere Auflugsangebote im Hotelprogramm, auf Wunsch auch individuell gestaltbar.

Pleasant Stay

The hotel is a very pleasant place to spend your holiday in. The rooms are spatious and well kept. Ibrahim, the owner, is extremely kind and helpful, and will ensure you get the best out of Marsa Alam, whether you want to do snorkelling, diving, visit the desert etc. Trust is advice and you won't go wrong! The only thing to keep in mind is that there is very little to do in Marsa Alam proper, and that the city is mainly constituted of unfinished buildings. This being said, the hotel is in a very pleasant location, facing the sea about a 15 min walk away from the town's main street. If you want to stay in Marsa Alam and want to avoid resorts, Hotel Rihana is definitely an excellent choice!

Having friends in Rihana

We stayed in Rihana Guest House 9 relaxing days. We felt being a part of family, very warm welcome and nice athmosphere. The building is pretty new and close to the sea. The beach beside the hotel is not very good, but if you walk a little or drive a few kilometers, you can find so beautiful places for snorkeling - the corals and the fish are amazing! We spent every day hours in the sea snorkeling, so my back is dark brown but my stomach is not... Every evening we walked down town shopping and sitting in coffeshops playing "tawla" and found some nice restaurants, too. Sometimes we were cooking "at home". If you want to see "real Egypt", this is a better place than those places built for tourists only.
