The infinity pool offers nice views and and the hotel area is small. The food was excellent. The chef was very helpful in finding gluten free options and the food was delicious. "The first room’s ac wasn’t working and when it did come on it was extremely loud. I upgraded and the room was fine but it did appear that there were ants living in the mirror as dust from the ants burrowing appeared. It was a nice place overall for the price, breakfast was good, pool good and staff are nice and helpful. "

"The guest house looked very nice and on the second floor was the breakfast tables but we had our room on the ground floor and the room was very dark and the bathroom was old. There was not a lamp near the bed so you could not read in the evening. The host family was very friendly and we used e.g. the washing service."

"We stayed for 3 nights in a top floor room. The hotel is right on the beach and we had a sweeping view of the beach from our balcony. The room was clean and the bathroom modern. As others have said, the TV is at the head of the bed so we did as they did and reversed our bedding. Management were friendly and helpful and the restaurant staff were friendly if not efficient but hey, welcome to Sri Lanka!"

" it was surprise to me when I reached the hotel and had to leave it since it is nothing like the mis leading deceiving pictures where the hotel was extremely dirty, deserted, the bed with pee stains, hygiene zero and 3 guys managing it who has zero hygiene and didn’t look like they are running the place which was quite creepy. "We had a great 3-night stay at Coast 67. The most stunning setting, overlooking the sea and the fairly private beach (there are only a handful of hotels that have access to this beach, so there are no local sellers or other tourists). Being able to walk from the pool, to the sunbeds, to the sand and the sea in just a couple of minutes is bliss. The food was delicious, plus the dining staff were really friendly and warm. The breakfasts are healthy (albeit western focused, rather than sri Lankan), and the lunches tasty too. Reasonably well priced for a hotel. Also, would HIGHLY recommend walking to local cooperative Cafe Veda for dinner - 2000 rupees (£5) for an authentic dinner with friendly staff and calming atmosphere. We went twice in our 3 night stay. The hotel was always very clean, but there are a couple of teething issues: cleaning is every 2 days (which isn't a problem, but worth considering) and there were a couple of power outages (only a few minutes, so no problem either) and the showers stopped working one afternoon/evening. Plus, there are construction works on the road and at the next door beach club, so lots of noise during the day (November 2025). It wasn't a bother though, as the sounds of the ocean are beautiful - especially at night."
