"This was an excellent place to stay near the Zurich airport. While it might look like you can walk to the hotel from the airport, the area around the airport is pretty built up. But there is excellent public transport (731 bus) from the airport to within 100yds of the hotel. We received a complementary early check-in and one free breakfast booking via Expedia, both of which we took advantage of. "I chose this hotel because they advertised for a shuttle for the airport. When I arrived, I was trying to set up my shuttle which they charged you 10 CHF for each person. I told the hotel that I chose the hotel because how it was advertised and did not create a solution. Got an uber instead. I will choose another hotel next time."

"The price of the room was good at < 100 CHF. However, I was charged an extra 20 CHF for parking. The bed and shower were clean but the walls were dirty. The shower doesn’t have a door and that resulted in water all throughout the bathroom. I’d stay here again but they might want to consider repainting the rooms and including parking."

"Des Alpes has a great location,by the river and close to the train station. Staff were excellent, very helpful all the time. The attached restaurant had great service and food. The problem I had is that the hotel has no AC (historic structure and all that). That was not clear when I booked, otherwise I probably would have gone with a different hotel. Also, the room was at the top level, and the attic room had little headroom for about half of the room. Quaint but a problem for a tall person. I...
