Great

Excellent room , looks like it’s just been refurbished. Restaurant was excellent for an evening meal. Lovely cooked breakfast. Great entertainment on the Saturday night in the pub.

MISS

Just not "luxury" as advertised

The Black Bull advertised the room we booked as "luxury" but I could not agree with this. The Hotel front/reception is in need of "tidying up", just general maintenance and perhaps the purchase of a filing cabinet for the front desk. The impression of chaos as you look at the front reception desk. The room is ok! but things like pillows, coathangers, morning housekeeping on certain days needs to be addressed

Excellent stay

Very pleasantly supersized at the size & standard of the room & bathroom. Very tastefully decorated, large comfortable bed, excellent shower. Food in the restaurant was superb, service excellent, overall a great stay would highly recommend.

Stayed here overnight with our teenage son in a Family Room after a flight. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Food was excellent. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. The only minor issue was lack of curtains in one of the windows due to a broken curtain rain.However blackout blinds did give us privacy.

Great food and friendly staff

Food here is of a very high standard and worth a visit even if you are not using the accommodation. Nice dining room with friendly staff. There is a public bar with covered smoking area outside but a nice lounge bar to complement the excellent catering would be an advantage. There is a bar in the dining room however. There is a nice room which would be suitable for private parties of approx 60 persons. Basic room but spotless and very comfortable bed.
