Top Maun Hotel Reviews

Thamalakane Guest House
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed at the TGH twice - 2 nights before our safari and 1 night after our safari. The property allowed us to keep some items behind so that we didn't need to carry everything with us on safari. We even had the same room when returning - what a delight. The air conditioning, shower and pool were so nice after 7 days on a tent safari !! "

Maun Lodge
8/10 Good
"Solid choice in Maun. Gym is there (unusual here) but not very good. Restaurant is good."

Sedia Riverside Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Slightly confusing entrance as the hotel is currently under renovation, and fewer rooms were available with the construction works (we were told it will be fully open at the start of May). However the restaurant and small pool were both open. The location is outside the main town but it was nice to feel away from that. The garden rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was very good. The staff were fantastic; helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Dinner was delicious, I highly recommend the fillet steak with mushroom sauce! I’d definitely come back here if I were ever in Maun again, especially after the renovation. "

Island Safari Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely place !!!"

Three Tree Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"My second stay at Three Tree hotel - after my safari. Again, the hotel was superb and provided excellent value for money. Room was very clean and all the amenities - fridge, hot water, and air conditioning fine. Restaurant food and staff were really good - I had dinner and breakfast. Hotel felt safe to stay. Hotel arranged my airport taxi. Hotel is not far from Maun airport."

Mokoro Lodge
8/10 Good
"I arrived really late in the evening. I was able to order a sandwich from the kitchen before it closed. There is nothing around the area. My major concern was that there were a ton of insects that I had to kill so they didn't bother me while I slept. I left early in the morning to join a safari tour."

Lediba Guest lodge
6/10 Okay
"Staffing was a major issue. There was a cleaner there when we got there and didn’t seem to have any information about us coming. The rooms weee clean but little things were broken (tv remote).
When we tried to leave the next morning, there was absolutely no staff around and we couldn’t get out of the gate. It took us 10 minutes to figure out how to get out of the grounds. No communication from anyone.
It would be a great little spot to stay if there was a bit better service. "

Nokanyana
4/10 Poor
"Unfortunately, we had a very mixed stay, with overall disappointment. Starting with the positives, Nokanyana is in a very nice setting, the staff on the property (restaurant, front desk, support functions) were all exceptional - attentive and friendly. The room was spacious and we had everything we needed.
Where Nokanyana failed spectacularly is what actually mattered to us most given the location: game drives. Our driver / guide got stuck in sand, something that could happen to anybody (even though it did not happen to us tourists with no training in how to do it). What was shocking is how not "
