"Alta Traful wastes the opportunity it has to provide guests with an experience as unique as the lake it is situated upon. The room was basic and bathroom (tiny sized) had taps either leaking or falling of. Parking is not enforced so vehicles were parked irregularly making it difficult to park our own — I took a photo & asked reception to get the truck moved but she did nothing. "This beautiful hotel sits in a valley surrounded by gorgeous mountains and right across from a beautiful river at the foot of high mountain cliffs. The setting alone is worth the price but the hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms very comfortable, the staff very attentive and the food very good. The hotel also has the most beautiful trails along the river with flowers and trees and bushes. Absolutely idyllic. To top it all off, there was a family of geese of a rare species that camped in front of the hotel and a King fisher that visited frequently. Highly recommend!"
