"Housekeeping is very poor. During our 4 night stay housekeeping only serviced our room once. The beds were lumpy and the pillows were like sacks of potatoes. I did complain and was offered a free breakfast but nothing could replace our lack of comfort. It seems that more effort is put into weddings and events. I would not recommend this hotel nor would I stay here again."

"So. If you love historic properties as I do you may love it. Built in 1923, inexpensive. I felt mostly safe. But not for the timid. (I think I smelled pot, a woman was screaming at her kids in the lobby.) Beautiful old window sill, radiator disguised with a covering, great old doors. AC was a window unit fortunately it worked well. Clean. Not sure I’d stay there again but glad I had the experience."

"Met or exceeded every expectation. Not sure if I got some kind of super-secret deal, but this hotel delivered FAR more than I expected for the very reasonable price I paid. I travel to the Detroit area on business multiple times a year. I don't know how I never had this place come up on my list before. It will definitely be a "go-to" for me in the future. BIG place. Really much larger than most Best Westerns. A few miles out -- but close enough to downtown to be reasonable for daily...
