Hotel room was beyond my expectations - what an incredible view from the bedroom window as well! Jetted tub and rainfall shower were highlights. I could imagine this as a cosy get away in the winter where the fire place would add to the ambience (definitely not needed for my summer stay). Really enjoyed our stay in Sidney - the hotel is on the waterfront and close to all amenities with excellent restaurants nearby. The town has a relaxed atmosphere with good shops. A quiet, relaxed alternative to staying in Victoria. Easy access to ferry terminal. Rooms at Sidney Waterfront Inn were clean and a decent size. The hotel was quiet overnight. Reception staff very helpful. Parking on site and buffet breakfast included.

The property was completely refurbished and reopened in April 2026. A very high standard specification, with warm coastal decor in guest rooms and public spaces. Would recommend.

Brian on the desk made us feel very welcome and gave us a great introduction to the hotel. This boutique hotel had so many pleasing extras that i havn't seen before in any hotel in my extensive travels.... Doubt whether i will be back in Vancouver Island but if i was then Sidney and the Beacon Inn would be my first choice and i would strongly recommend. Beacon Brewing down the street was an added bonus........

Gorgeous herotage building with character. Plenty of amenities and exceptional breakfast, with homemade cookies and buns available during the day. We had a lively, romantic stay and will definitely be back.

I was so pleasantly surprised by the room. I was expecting it to be comfortable but a little run down. It was certainly comfortable, but also modern and spotless. The location could not have been better and my expectations were surpassed in every way. Michael deserves a shout out for being a friendly, helpful, face. Highly recommended for great value and great stay.

It's a basic hotel chain, but it very clean very helpful staff, quiet room no kettle for tea though, but microwave and fridge & good sized room

Fabulous visit to the amethyst inn. Very cute quirky inn. Our room was very large and well furnished.filled with character. Breakfast was fantastic. Huge portions and quality food.
