"We got off a cruise and arrived early to spend the night and fly out the next day. We knew our room wouldn't be ready so we dropped off our bags and went to a bar and grill. We returned around 2:00pm and as expected our room still wasn't ready so we waited in the lobby. We had to stand around because there aren't many chairs to sit.There was a couple of dozen others who were also waiting. At 2:30, 3:00, 3:30 people were walking in and there rooms were ready, but not the ones who were waiting. It seems to me that housekeeping would be instructed to clean the rooms for people who are waiting first. The staff basically didn't give a damn. At 4:00pm, the advertised check in time, our room and many others were not ready. It was nearly 5:00pm before our room was ready. Judging by the people standing and waiting there was at least 10 rooms still not ready at 5:00pm. I paid extra to stay in a premium suite and was one of the last to be checked in. Not having the rooms ready by the 4:00pm check is completely unacceptable, inexcusable, and unforgivable. Greedy owners need to hire enough staff to have all rooms available by the 4:00pm. NEVER AGAIN WILL I STAY HERE!"

"Our preferred Marriott Bonvoy status with early checkin turned out to be a nightmare. Tired and hungry from travel all we wanted was to check in and they were behind by hours. We were not able to check in until 4:30. Not very happy to start our trip."

"Beautiful hotel sits on the ocean with a beach and pool area. Staff were awesome. When they thought my bag was misplaced when we put it for keeping while we waiting to go to the cruise ship, they were as concerned as I was. They had me go with them to help locate it. "
