"Lovely, clean, quiet hotel. We stayed there prior to a visit to Eagles Nest, which was a short drive from there. There is a nice bar next door, which was convenient for food. We stayed in room 1 on the ground floor and were initially worried that it would be noisy in the morning as it was right next to the entrance to the kitchen. We didn't need to be as we didn't hear a thing, despite the breakfast room being quite busy when we went in. There was a good choice for breakfast. No air conditioning so the room was a bit warm."

"The apartment was an excellent size with the second bedroom far enough away from the other to give each other privacy. There was also a separate toilet and large bathroom. The bathroom had both a bath and a shower. The kitchen was well equipped and a good size. The balcony was nice for sitting out on but you couldn't have a family dinner there as it's long and thin. Very comfortable beds with good quality mattresses in both rooms. The saunas and two quiet rooms downstairs were a lovely bonus and we made use of these each night. The one star missing is only for the following two reasons. 1. At night there can be some noise from the lift and elsewhere in the hotel and I needed to drown this noise out to be able to sleep. However, it didn't bother the other three people I was with. 2. The car park is very small and always full so don't rely on being next to the hotel. I would stay again though but ask for a room away from the lift."

"Stayed here with my partner for two nights. It was hot out and a bit tough with the heat but this place made for a comfortable stay. The room was really super cute and comfortable. Enjoyed the linens. The staff was kind and helpful. The included breakfast was delicious and offered a variety and got to enjoy it in the great patio area. The only thing is that it does not have an elevator. It is an older and charming well kept building so I was okay with using the wide staircase. Just something to keep in mind. Wasn’t an issue for us so I would definitely stay here again."

"Beautiful location with wonderful views. The swimming 'pond' was a lovely surprise. There is no airconditioning, which another reveiw mentioned, but as you are high in the mountains, the air cools in the evening so sleeping is not a problem. We stayed to visit The Eagles Nest, which is an easy 20 mins drive. All staff were very freindly, breakfast was wonderful. Wunderschöne Lage mit herrlicher Aussicht. Der Schwimmteich war eine schöne Überraschung. Es gibt keine Klimaanlage – wie bereits in einer anderen Bewertung erwähnt –, aber da man sich hoch in den Bergen befindet, kühlt die Luft abends ab, sodass das Schlafen kein Problem ist. Wir waren dort, um das „Eagle’s Nest“ zu besuchen, das nur eine kurze, 20-minütige Autofahrt entfernt liegt. Das gesamte Personal war sehr freundlich und das Frühstück war wunderbar."

"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel Sallerhof and highly recommend it to anyone. The hotel is immaculately maintained, cleaned with care each day, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is plentiful and genuinely tasty, all set within a quiet, peaceful village surrounded by beautiful views. Salzburg is an easy bus ride away, with buses stopping right outside the hotel entrance. The Salzburg Mobility Pass provided by the hotel covers public transport throughout the region for the duration of your stay, making it effortless to explore. The location also makes day trips simple - the stunning Lake Königssee in nearby Germany, for example, took me less than an hour by bus. The staff are exceptionally friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about offering good hospitality. I’ve never returned to the same place twice before, but I fully expect - and hope - to come back to the Sallerhof regularly."
