"This was an amazing stay! The property is absolutely stunning inside and out, with expansive views of the Douro Valley. Manuel is an excellent host and even made us dinner reservations at some great restaurants in town. The salt water pool was my favourite amenity. "Overall amazing experience. The property is stunning. Rooms very spacious and comfortable. Attentive and super friendly service. Great food. The pool service could improve. Have to wait long to be helped every time and have to call them ourselves. Not constant checking in with customers. Stayed by the bar. Only area that could improve. The rest was incredible n"

"Amazing hotel and views -the location is unbeatable, the pool and property is amazing, in fact none of the pictures proves justice, this is an amazing hotel with lots to offers…. A car is required to get to the hotel, although I didn’t partake in any of the spa it did look amazing - the pool and the drinks are amazing - the breakfast is amazing where you can sit on the terrace - the restaurant offers good food although I thought it was a bit too much and overly fancy for nothing - and the taste wasn’t really there. "Absolutely stunning property with a very thought out layout and design. The rooms were very comfortable and quiet and had blackout curtains. The restaurant onsite was also delicious and offered a wide range of options. The SPA was so nice and had the best couples message ever. "

"The hotel was in a remote area but had beautiful views and was worth the effort. The swimming pool was a welcome addition as it was very hot when we arrived. The dinner and breakfast were good. There seemed to be a problem with the doors to the rooms which people kept banging to get them to close. Added to that someone managed to open our door when we were almost asleep and the hotel dog ran into our room. Very disconcerting and not condusive to a good nights sleep."
