"A disturbing lack of personal or hotel security. Upon checking in, I noted that my room's door could not be locked from the inside, despite there being a deadbolt lock installed on the door. This was standard throughout the hotel. No where on the hotel's website is there any mention of such a lack of security. The doors sit flush with the floor, so there is no opportunity to wedge something under the door for what little security that would provide. Similarly, the door handle to the toilet moves both up and down, and so linking coat hangers, if that were a possibility seeing as the coat hangers don't have hooks, would also not have worked. There was no opportunity for any jerry-rigging more security. If this wasn't enough, there is no barrier to entry to the hotel from the street. In other words, anyone wishing to do so could enter the hotel and proceed up to any of the floors unencumbered. In light of this shocking lack of security, I was not comfortable staying at the hotel.
