"The friendly hosts and the elaborate, tasty breakfast were the highlights of our stay here. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower set-up on the clawfoot tub reminded us of our first home and were fine, but a grab bar to help getting out would be helpful. The gardens were pleasant. The outside of the building was a bit tired and worn looking; I'm sure upkeep on such a large, historic building is tough."

"The breakfast was great especially made to order coffee one disappointing though was there was no restaurant attached other than the buffet breakfast and nothing very close to eat so if you came in as we did around 6:30 you basically had the snack area or skip which is what we did The front desk staff were great! Dealt with that issue in the morning on Friday and it was quickly resolved and our parking space was moved to a secure indoor parking space once they noticed we had bikes. The grout on the bathroom floor was coming-up between the floor tiles, a mess and first noticed, as I walked in the bathroom barefoot (ouch).
