"We stayed 6 nights in one of the rooms overlooking the beautiful white sand beach which is definitely worth the extra cost. You are literally about 25 metres from the sea. Hotel is only a few years old so everything is in pretty good condition. Our room was spacious with double and single beds and walk in shower. Excellent quiet air con. Mini fridge. Kettle. Complimentary toiletries. Robes and slippers. Excellent breakfast buffet. Very good service. Sun loungers at beach (with drinks service) and several pools but the pools whilst both infinity are very small and we didnt like the design of the long pools outside of the rooms in the centre of the hotel - perhaps good if you're staying in one of the rooms on the ground floor but not otherwise. The skybar on the top floor (4th) has comfy, cosy seating as well as table and chairs and one of the infinity pools. Good deal with 2 4 1 cocktails from 4 - 7pm and you can also get lunch or casual dinner here. There is also an excellent small gym. The centre of Pangalo with all the restaurants, cafes, tour agencies etc is less than a 10 min walk. If nit picking they are a bit rule bound and not very flexible. Eg wouldnt let us order 2 4 1 cocktails and take them to our room. There are notices about what you should and shouldnt do and strict finish times for meals but minor. They should also clean the beach better. Overall great stay though and best hotel walkable to the centre."

"A beautiful relaxing resort. The landscape of the grounds are so beautiful and well maintained. There is a lap pool which you can walk out to from some rooms. There's also a larger pool with pool bar near. Gorgeous! Rooms are very comfortable. The staff is beyond exceptional! Breakfast daily was very good. My second time here and I'll never stay anywhere else at Alona. The road Into the resort is bumpy and that's an understatement! But trikes, bikes, and cars will come to get you. Not the resorts fault the road is in bad condition. Surprised best western nearby doesn't fix it. The owner Barry is a great guy. 22 years of love into this place. It's not as close to beach as others but well worth it to live in paradise and then take rides to your destination! Highly recommend!!! "

"This hotel was amazing, the rooms were fantastic, the breakfast buffet was delicious, but the staff were the best. I believe their names were Joan (there were 2 ladies named Joan) and Shem (I didn't get the spelling), they were the most helpful and nicest people ever at the breakfast buffet. I highly recommend this hotel. The only drawback, they really didn't want you swimming in the ocean - the first time they said it was after 5 and no lifeguard was on duty, the second time it was the middle of the day and they said no lifeguard on duty. There were several groups wanting in, finally they brought a lifeguard and we were able to get in water. They really need to fix that - just let it be swim at your own risk. Snorkeling didn't seem to be that great, clear water but not much to see. "

"Our family of four enjoyed our stay at Abraham Bohol for many reasons. The property is clean with a great pool, clubhouse (with bar/cafe and pool table adjacent to the swimming pool), and friendly staff. The location is the best part because it's close to the town center near the beach and so many restaurants and airport. We would definitely stay at Abraham Bohol again! "
