"It was excellent"

"The room was a great size for the price. Clean but carpets could use replacing or steam cleaning. Stained! Pillows and mattresses were way too soft. After few days of sleeping on them our necks and backs were killing us. Had to ask for towels every day. Breakfast was good, very attentive kitchen staff. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful."

"Fantastic ocean beach view from the balcony! Could see Wilmington buildings a few miles to the South. Shell Island Resort is at the end of the beach road! Walk the beach 1.5 miles northward the the ocean "river" flowing into the salt water marsh...Amazing!"

"We recently stayed at the Element Hotel in Wilmington, NC and overall had a very pleasant experience. The hotel is beautiful with a modern design and stylish furnishings that create a clean, comfortable atmosphere. Our room was well-appointed, the bed was very comfortable, and the in-room kitchen was a great feature. Having filtered water available was also a nice bonus. "We came here for a dance competition for our daughter. The location was great with access to plenty of food places. The room was a good size for the four of us. The breakfast was okay, wish there was more variety but overall good if you wanted to grab something quick. Like I said it's close to plenty of food options. Kids loved the saltwater pool and the fitness center was good too"

"The room is spacious and clean. The facilities are well maintained and the staff are helpful. The hotel also locates at a very quiet location so I had a good sleep. The only disappointment is the breakfast doesn’t have much to choose. If I remember correctly it has less items then other Hampton I lived. My sister booked an extra night so when we arrived early the lady checking her in allowed us to stay the one night with them until we could check in later that day since we got there at 2 in the morning. "We booked a reservation online and it was confirmed, only to arrive at the hotel and be told that the desk attendant had cancelled it because she believed the hotel was full. We asked her to confirm and she rudely told us she was the only person there. When we inquired about different room types that may be available, she told us there would be a significant cost increase. She was extremely unhelpful and we ended up booking at another hotel. "
