"Overall, the hotel is good in terms of facilities and location. However, on the second day of my stay, there was no hot water. A staff member came to the room and said it was not a problem because the water was not cold. But the hot water did not come back until we checked out, so my family had to take showers with unheated water (not exactly cold, but with no warmth at all)."

"Great hotel. Friendly staff. Wonderful food. Ideal central location with Alexanderplatz station only minutes away, but the hotel is very dated, thin walls meant I could hear everything being said in the next room which didn’t help when they had a screaming child. The hotel also has a room cleaning request button (in the bathroom) that you must press before 11am to get the room serviced for the next day. I pressed the button twice during my stay and my room wasn’t serviced. "

"Cheap and cheerful accommodation just outside the city centre but close enough to walk in within 15-20 minutes. I got a private room with a bathroom which wasn’t the best, but it was clean. The bed wasn’t very comfortable and the pillow had seen much better days. I ended up using my coat and stuffing it inside the pillow case just to plump it up. There is no kettle inside either. The walls in the room are in need of redecorating due to a lot of scratch marks from suitcases and general wear and tear, given how busy it is, but you get what you pay for… it is cheap for a reason. Great location if you are not overly fussed about where you are staying on a budget city break and just want to use it to get some sleep. If you’re looking for something more upmarket, I’d look elsewhere. There is a bar at the front which is decent, showing sports and has cheap food available such as hot dogs, pizza and fries. There is also a table football and pool table if that’s your thing. For the price I expected exactly what I got and wasn’t overly fussed apart from the comfort of the bed and the pillow being quite poor."

"Generally a nice hotel with clean room, easy access to station and public transport, and good breakfast. But a few things were issues: - Expedia states the hotel has laundry facilities. This is not correct. There is only an expensive laundry service. - for other hotels I am staying at on my trip, Expedia states that local taxes must be paid separately at the hotel. There was no mention of this for this hotel, but I was charged an extra 12 Euro at check-in. - the sink in the room had very poor drainage."

"Excellent in all aspects except one -- avoid the restaurant. It is mediocre at best with exorbitant (and hidden) prices. A cesar salad ended being $28. And they charge for tap water, it seems. But the hotel itself is fantastic! Great location, great room, great atmosphere. "

"Decent hotel just a 2 minute walk from Central Station. Perfect location to explore Berlin and direct trains to airport. Nice clean modern rooms. Comprehensive vending facilities in the foyer for food, alcohol and other drinks hot and cold which is a nice touch. Hot water for tea and coffee available as well. Nice bar shuts midnight. Luggage storage via payable lockers. Comfortable, good price. Happy to stay here again next time in Berlin. "
