"As a solo traveller I stayed one night so didn’t experience any facilities. Staff were great, room lovely, clean with comfy bed. I had an issue with ordering room service, which was frustrating. Had to go through an app but when doing that it wouldn’t take my order. Then couldn’t find the number to call reception so had to physically walk down. The staff didn’t know why the app not working so they phoned order through. Food was great. Other issue was my tv remote not working. Too tired to ask staff to sort. Loved the grand elegance of the hotel."

"The welcome was very friendly and efficient. Plenty of free parking. A little way out of the main city and limited places to eat except the hotel restaurant. Room was a decent size with a good bathroom. Breakfast room is a little old fashioned and felt like a canteen, but there was a reasonable selection. We had a kettle in the room, but no tea or coffee."
