"I have mixed feelings about my stay at this hotel. Initially, the property and our room seemed decent and relatively clean. However, things took a turn when I found a small cockroach in one of the drawers. We decided to stay anyway, which turned out to be a mistake. The next morning, my girlfriend found a large, dead bed bug on the bed. To the hotel's credit, the staff was incredibly nice and immediately moved us to a new room, which was clean and pest-free. That said, having to pack up and change rooms so suddenly was a major inconvenience. I would highly recommend that management implements more thorough room inspections and considers some minor renovations, as the property is starting to look a bit dated."

"We stayed at the Howard Johnson for 3 days and, for the most part, it was a great stay. The essentials were excellent: the room was clean, the beds were comfortable with an ample amount of pillows, parking was easy, and the front desk staff was incredibly pleasant. They also offer a hot breakfast that was more than sufficient to get us all going for the day. However, there are a few important things to know before booking: Amenities: The pool was unavailable because they don’t have an adjacent bathroom (though they do offer passes to a nearby hotel's pool). The ice machine was also broken during our stay, and the TV channels are very limited since they use an antenna instead of traditional cable. The Shower: The shower has an extremely low flow—if you have long hair, it might take a very long time to rinse it out. The Atmosphere: The biggest drawback, especially if you have children, is that the property frequently smelled of marijuana, even in the non-smoking rooms. Overall, for the price, it’s a good stay with a nice breakfast and a comfortable bed. If you're looking for a budget-friendly spot to sleep and eat before heading out, it gets the job done."
