"Historic property, incredibly helpful & friendly staff, very comfortable and clean. The breakfast buffet was great, as well as the attached coffee shop. Onsen was lovely, I have tattoos and emailed the property beforehand to make sure that was fine. Very close to the sights, would recommend! "

"The restaurant on the 16th floor has an amazing view. The rooms are well appointed, although the aesthetic is out of the early 1990s, I found it to be pleasant and restful. If you book here, make sure to add the breakfast option!!!! "

"During my two-week trip to Japan, one of the most memorable experiences was our stay at Hotel Indigo Karuizawa, An IHG Hotel. The experience was excellent, with warm and welcoming staff. The rooms were spotless and more spacious than others we stayed in. While the location wasn’t as central, with having attractions within walking distance, it was conveniently close to the mall and train station via taxi. Although we didn’t get a chance to try the on-site restaurant, the onsen was a standout feature and a key reason we chose this hotel, despite it being the most expensive of our trip. Out of the six hotels we stayed in, this was definitely one of our favorites, and I highly recommend it."
