C'Lau Hotel Ninh Binh - A Gem Nestled in Ancient Quarter

"The room and staff were excellent at the hotel. At first I did not like it due to the construction going on right against the hotel wall from the next door building. It was very noisy. I was so impressed that the manager talked to the workers there and got them to keep the worst of the noise down. Great job! It was not the hotel's fault that there was literally construction going on on three sides of the hotel at other buildings. It did not happen at night, so I was able to sleep fine. There was a holiday going on as well, but that was all over Vietnam and fortunately the loud music outside and the fireworks ended by 10 PM. Special mention to the bellhop who was also the guy who took care of things at breakfast. His service was outstanding!! Breakfast had two choices which they sent you in the evening. It was a Viet-style breakfast but tasty."

"This is a hidden gem, it is nestled in rice paddies where you can ride one of their bikes to market in the early morning and see what village life is like. You are central to head to any of the local attractions but then you return to serenity and swim under the stars in their beautiful pool. The rooms are gorgeous with beautiful bathrooms and I had wonderful mountain views goats roaming them included! The staff were so accomodating with late check out and allowing me to use the amenities after a day exploring before I jumped on a night bus. You are not treated as just another tourist but as part of a village. ❤️"

"The hotel is clean, offers a wonderful view, and the staff are very friendly. The swimming pool is large and excellent. There is a park right in front where you can take a walk. However, the refrigerator doesn't work well, and the towels have a slight smell of sweat."
