Excellent location with good breakfast!

This hotel location is excellent, the house keeping is very clean , although a bit old , but the price is very reasonable, with very nice breakfast!!!

Great location

A lovely stay in a hotel very close to the train station. Very efficient and welcoming staff, free drinks during the afternoon. A lovely buffet style breakfast.

A very nice stay in Nara in the middle of the center to visit the nara deer park and the shopping street. The hotelroom was clean and very big. A really nice hotel for a stay with your family and kids

This hotel was really cool! Right next to the station but was very quiet! Also lived that you can lock your bags up/utilize a locker to store bags while waiting for check in so you can explore Nara worry free! Staff was very nice and the restaurant in the hotel was a great experience!!

This hotel is right beside Nara JR station. It is very clean and convenience to go around. All hotel staffs are supper nice and helpful. The room is pretty big and full filled of accessory. We will definitely stay back.

At a prime location, right next to Nara Station, the property is extremely convenient, and well maintained. It however is very dated, telling from the room design (back decades ago) to the onsen facilities (very small in size, relative to the numbers of room of the property). It definitely requires an uplifting to match demands of travellers nowadays.

Old fashioned hotel with easy access to JR station. Large room and fast check in and Checkout process. Neither the public bath (tiny and uncomfortable changing room), nor the breakfast (average food at a unsuiting banquet hall) met our expectation on new year's day. No VIP access perks were given.

Nikko Nara Hotel is most conveniently located, connected to Nara Station. Quaint Starbucks and Tourist Guide Centre next to station. Near to main road leading to town centre, with food streets, temples and past a small lake that eventually leads to Nara Deer Park. The hotel service is immaculate. Beautiful lobby which is well furnished. A small lounge next to the lobby provides hotel guests a place to have complimentary coffee cookies and drinks in the afternoons. The hotel rooms unfortunately are rather compact, in original condition and requires refurbishing. Since we sleep in the room and not in the hotel lobby, it would be ideal if Nikko Nara could invest in refurbishing the guest rooms, which would make it the perfect hotel to stay whenever we are back in Nara.

The hotel and facilities are not updated. No USB charger or international adapter in my room. I was using my own power bank to charge my mobile. Staff was helpful and polite if you have enquiries. The exhaust fan was not working in my bathroom. The mirror and everything were wet and sweaty. I did not notice that after I showered and it was late night, so I did not contact staff till I checked out. Nothing wrong with their staff and service, but they definitely need to upgrade their hardware and get the rooms renovated. I was surprised when they handed me a silver key with key ring while checking in, but not a keycard.

The hotel was beautiful and just outside the entrance to the train station. It was a fun fairly short walk to the park to see the Sika deer and the temples. Lots of shopping on the way up and back and so many restaurants. Rooms were clean and the beds had padding. The pillows were not the buckwheat pillows so it was very comfortable.
