"An absolutely fabulous location if you don’t mind the 20-30 minute drive to Moab. The property is beautiful and being on the Colorado river was very peaceful. Room was somewhat expensive but our Riverside King Suite was spacious and well appointed. The in room espresso machine with mugs that did not fit in it was puzzling and when I queried the front desk they just agreed and shrugged. Extremely peaceful unless you are unlucky enough to get a loud neighbor. Fitness facility and laundry were closed. Restaurant was beautiful and food was good but service was glacial and most of the staff seemed indifferent. A little bit of effort would make this place a 5 star experience. I would stay again because the location is so much nicer than places I saw in Moab. "

"Sadly, Sorel is too expensive for what it is. It's obvious it used to be amazing but it's in need of a maintenance team and general refreshing. The rooms are clean but old. The hotel is seriously understaffed (one poor waiter in the restaurant) and the front desk staff is hit or miss. There are lightbulbs out all around the property and everything needs a fresh coat of paint. The daily expeditions, scenery and location of the hotel are great and why I'm giving the hotel 4 stars instead of 3. We did the Canyonlands tour, UTV tour and horseback riding. All of the staff running those activities were fantastic and are working hard. We didn't receive any services from the spa and can't speak to that. "

"I have never paid $350 for such a basic hotel in Moab. No breakfast. Concrete floors. Noisy under the window air conditioning unit. A plastic fridge that looked like a cooler. Probably the smallest pool in Moab. This hotel should be $100 a night, not $350."

"This hotel is well designed and beautiful in and out. The staff is exceptional. Great heated pool and hot tub with bar service to your pool chair. Super location. "
