"Room hadn’t been cleaned properly as we found clothes from previous travellers beside bed as well as dirty tissue beside bed and towel was smeared with excrement.
The lift was being maintained which is fine but our room was right next to the construction meeting point it seemed and the noise was terrible. Couldn’t sit out on balcony at all. Disappointed with stay to say the least"

"We cannot say enough good things about Whitsunday Sands Resort. We have stayed here twice, and both times were fabulous. It is so close to everything at Horseshoe Bay. The rooms are wonderful. Our room opened up to a private cove where we could relax, hunt for shells and even take a refreshing dip in the ocean. The room was clean and comfortable. We couldn't ask for more. I wish we could have stayed longer."

"Great for backpackers and people that don't mind a bit of noise coming from the hotel in the evenings / early night.
We booked the self contained cabin thinking it may have been the quietest on site but there were probably other ensuit cabins more towards the back that would have been quieter."

"Very big room with washing facilities and kitchen was great. The breakfast options are limited and you have to pay for coffee which is a bit of a let down in this day in age. The lagoon pool was enjoyable and the property and room were clean. They dont do a servicing during you stay which was a surprise but as you have washing facilities you can make do. The convenient access to the boardwalk along the seashore to Airlie was a nice to have, we used it every day."
