The rooms were large, the bathtubs overlooking the woods were amazing. There are a couple restaurants not too far away, but we ended up going to the grocery store and cooking at home because we wanted to spend most of our time in the room. "

The bathroom was dirty and had black bits on the floor, making it feel unhygienic. The freezer was also very dirty, with bits of hair inside it — absolutely unacceptable. "A+. Had a wonderful long weekend in Basel. The hotel is convenient to the tram and an easy 5 minute walk to the Rhine or 5 minute ride to Basel SBB. From the moment we arrived, we were happy. Am American traveler’s hotel - comfy beds, big towels, free bottlea of water, and ample room for living in the room! Highly recommend and would stay there again in a heartbeat! "

"I really enjoyed my stay at the Mercure. After a long drive it was so nice to have a swim in the pool and relax in the jacuzzi and sauna. The bed in my room was so comfy and the room itself was spacious and so quiet. I also loved the blinds to make the room completely dark. The hotel was really easy to find and luckily not far from the motorway so I didn’t have to navigate too far. I also ate in the restaurant and the food was really nice and the service was very good. I would definitely stay here again. "

"The room was spotless and very chic. Its small, so not a lot of room for big luggage. The location was perfect for traveling by train because it's one bus stop away from the train station. Down a few stairs and you're in the charming streets of Basel. I would stay here again! "
