"The breakfast menu was excellent as was the dinner menu. Only problem was that we should have booked a a dinner time before arriving as it was extremely busy on the Saturday and only time left was 7.30 so it was well after 8 pm before we actually ate. The bed was very comfortable but pillows we thought weren’t high quality so spoilt our sleep."

"First time of staying at a Marston's, couldn't fault the accommodation,check in was good the room was excellent,clean and well equipped would most definitely stay again. Across the car park was the bar and restaurant which was very well presented and staffed by very pleasant staff, the food however left a lot to be desired, I ordered fish and chips with mushy peas, upon receiving it I should have returned it but I had been travelling all day and was so tired I couldn't be bothered as I just wanted to sleep. The mushy peas were so dry they had left the sides of the ramakin, chips weren't to bad finally the fish! It was so contorted it made an arch on my plate I picked it up at one end and it left the plate like a piece of cardboard, I've never experienced a piece of fish like it. What was very self evident was how quiet the place was for a Friday night, serving food as was served to me is the reason. Come on guys, look at what you're serving and ask yourself "is this good enough""

"This is a great hotel / pub in a very good location and ideal for touring Aberdeenshire. Only about 20 mins from Aberdeen airport. The rooms are absolutely excellent and very spacious The bar and restaurant area is very welcoming and for those who enjoy whiskey there is an extensive range. The host Stuart is wonderful, very engaging and takes time to ensure all guests / customers are satisfied and enjoying themselves."

You get a lovely welcome, rooms are very modern, and clean, food is absolutely first class, I have never had a bad meal here, and the breakfast really sets you up for the day. Can't recommend this hotel enough."

"Hotel was very convenient for Crimond race track. Staff were very helpful. The main road outside was closed due to a burst water pipe. To get to the track would have taken over an hour, instead of 10 minutes if the diversion signs were followed. They showed me how to get there with a minor de-tour and provided a map! Everything was spotlessly clean. We will definitely stay again."
